Thoughts on who'd you like to see cast?

JOJ. It's always JOJ. And Earl. And...well who cares about the rest anyways? ;) Wish they would send a tour to Germany for once. Spain had it, why can't we??

I'm always on board for JOJ, but kind of iffy about Earl. Never liked his Javert very much.

It'll probably not be anyone who is a theatre name, and more likely straight out of drama school kids, possibly with some X Factor reject thrown in for good measure ( can you tell I am generally disappointed with UK tours?)
But I'd be a lot cheerier with Jeremy Secomb and Chris Jacobsen cast of course.

Jon Robyns is reason enough to be wary of UK tours. Can't stand him.

Killian Donnelly confirmed as Valjean on the tour. That's exciting! I quite like this Valjean.

Kind of related - went to the open auditions on a complete whim, and apparently they've cast most people now (overhearing people in the queue) though I don't think they've announced much yet. One of the girls in the group I was standing with got a call-back so can update if I keep an eye on her Instagram (see if she knows anything in advance yay! )

Good for you for giving it a shot!

Sometimes with cattle calls like that it isn't so much about actually finding the cast as defending a casting choice they already have in mind. Later on they can say "well, we did hold open auditions..." in case anyone questions "hey, you hired your niece/daughter/nephew/etc."

Thank you!! It was certainly an interesting experience (as i'm a complete amateur singer, surrounded by drama school people) - and yes that's true, I certainly thought there were more open roles than there actually were. Two thousand people showed up though, it was absolutely insane!
