Go on about how awful the movie adaptations were here.

No problem at all :) It just shows how many times I've focused all of my attention on Killian in the barricade scenes
Revolution: like Christmas come early only with more death
Abaisse Chief/Chef
"Les Amis Fun Package - The Awesome Traits of Each"
"She's basically Enjolras meets Amy Pond"
Sings Stars "way better than Russel Crowe"

I have been watching for him more and more recently, and I love his facial expressions. He always looks so serious business.

I love the random unscripted details he put into the role. Possibly out of the whole movie, he's the one who's shaken my headcanon for a performance of the character in the musical.

Yes, he has some absolutely golden moments. He's also really subtle about it, which I love. Between him and George Blagden, I could spend hours watching the background of the Amis scenes. I loved his line about his life, thought it was a very Combeferre concept.

I just realised how small the barricade is...

I've noticed the sign with the eye in the background of the barricade. It made me think of the "eye of the revolution" quote, interpreted quite literally.
Another story must begin...

Didn't notice this myself, but I was told that Enjolras' "dead body" was left in the same place for quite a long time.

In part of the scene where Javert walks among the dead, they originally filmed a piece where Javert walked directly under Enjolras' hanging body. Eventually that bit got cut.

All the world's a party, and I'm usually the awkward wallflower in the corner with a glass of water and a copy of Les Mis.

I was just thinking about how Jehan and Combeferre had quite similar costumes in the movie. And then remembered "Jean Prouvaire was a still softer shade than Combeferre".

This isn't really a small thing... but after Marius was talking about blowing up the barricade and himself with it, everyone was like "Marius what where you thinking?! You could've got us all killed!" and then someone else went "Marius you saved us all!"
Rory listen she's not dead. *Actually* she is dead. But its not the end of the world. Well it is the end of the world. Actually its the end of the universe.

Sweet surrender, what a night!

That's part of what I love about the scene, actually.

Actually, Hooper and the art director put it there because of the feeling of Hugo about "God is always watching", so it is like representing that religious feeling of Hugo.

Ahh, that makes sense. :) Thanks.

Things like this make me wonder if an extended cut will ever be released and if this scene will be in it.
