Cast members with solo CD's

Postby duva » Wed Dec 20, 2006 1:54 am

.... I made this topic up so I could plug John Owen-Jones' EP "Hallelujah" which is now out and available to buy from his official site. I'm listening to it now, it's VERY GOOD so off you go and order a copy. Shoo!

And talk about other LM people's CD's too, if you have to.

Some of us are waiting for shipping to Australia.

Let's see. What cast members' CDs do I own? A couple of Warlow's, of course, Quast's Donmar (Which everyone needs, because it is brilliance)...

But everyone needs John's, too :)

Well, duh. I'd have Mr Bailey's, too, if he had one.

He'd be singing such classics as "Do Ya Think I'm Sexy?" and "All Night Long".

... I just made myself throw up a bit in my mouth there. *Stops the spam* Seriously, get John's CD -- it's cheap, it's very good, and... I said so. Actually, John said so. "Buy the CD" he said, when I saw him a few hours ago. Do it.

And "Stop in the name of love", just for the actions.

Can I add Hayden Tee's solo album to the list? :D

Oh, and both of Michael McCarthy's. Mmm.
and to this day, she's glided on
always home but so far away
like a word misplaced
nothing said, what a waste

I'm sorry, I'm killing myself for that. Yes, get Hayden's CD, it's also very good (even if the photoshoot is dodgy) and well worth your £ or $ or.. my laptop is so old there is no Euro symbol.

I have a Lea Salonga album, and I've downloaded some Anthony Warlow songs.

Can't go see Hayden, alas. Maybe if this were on the weekend when people aren't working. XD Would've liked to go, though.

I talked the Paisley-Shirted Wonder...er...I mean Hugh this week and he said he owes me an update on his solo CD "very soon."

Of course, Hugh's definition of "very soon" is very sketchy. I swear that man exists in his own private time zone.

It was supposed to be finished and released last summer, then it was pushed by to fall by the label. Never mind that he's had a slow, terrible time getting songs approved for it.

Dealing with my contact at the label is...um...not pleasant.

But as soon as Hugh gives me some news of the CD, I'll let you know.

I have both of Frances Ruffelle's solo albums (which are actually very good) and some of Michael Ball's solo stuff. Both of them have some very lovely solo work.

Frances Ruffelle has a new EP coming out. It sounds stellar. http://www.amazon.com/The-Frances-Ruffe ... 272&sr=8-3

I just realized having Daphne's solo CDs counts, so yeah, I have that. Although for my money, the best song she has is a single called "I'm Your Angel" on a compilation album. Even if one hates Daphne's voice with a firey burning passion (or well, maybe that's too much hate, let's say a burning passion) if you like catchy pop tunes you should check it out. She does another version of it on her album but it's nowhere near as good.
