Actually regarding Bamatabois, there's apparently disagreement on that one in the stage show I found out just recently! The version from the pronunciation guide is how the London cast pronounce it and with the "mat" part accented is how the Americans casts do it. I don't know if they were talking about the difference in the podcast or if it was something that it sparked discussion-wise, but it came out of listening to one of Andrew Varela's Behind The Barricade podcasts last week. I don't really know which is correct as such. I've always said BAMatabois, but then again I also pronounce Euphrasie like a new brad of probiotic yoghurt.
And yes, I remember mocking some of them back in the day with my mum and being smug about it in my "Look I've completed first year French!" way
Yes, I came across it in late 2000/early 2001 I think, I can't remember exactly when we got broadband, though I think it was 2001. I did more lurking than posting, because I was very much a newbie at that stage, but once I saw the show a bit more it was interesting, and I'm quite nostalgic for it. The site had a lot more interesting bits for fans then, now it's just "Here are the cast, GO BUY TICKETS!"
