If I, a newbie, may pop in with some of the first names that have popped up for me (a few of which are currently appearing to one degree or another in the first LM fan fiction I've ever posted online...)

Les Amis:
Thadée-Joachim Enjolras
Paul-David Combeferre
Geoffroi Courfeyrac
Édouard Joly
Gaspard L'Aigle
Horace Feuilly
Lazare-Laurien Bahorel
Richard-Claude Grantaire

(Horrid names all 'round, I know, but they fit for what I was doing.)

The Lawr:
Scipion-Abdon Javert

The Fellows of Patron-Minette:
Médard Babet
Eustache-Jacques Claquesous
Fernand Gueulemer
Valetin-Joseph St. Jean (later Montparnasse)

Those Unnamed Thénardiers:
Yvan Thénardier
Firmine Thénardier (née Ferres)
Pérégrin Maynard Thénardier (later Gavroche)
Roland Thénardier (later Fabrice Magnon)
Quentin Thénardier (later Paul-Henri Magnon)

Élodie Magnon
Josué Brujon

Élodie Magnon

That's a rather lovely name for her. She always winds up as boring old Marie in my fics!

So far I've only conjured up first names for Les Amis, mostly because they're all I write fanfiction for. They keep changing because I keep growing to hate them, but this is what they are right now. No doubt the list will look completely different in a few months. xD

Tristan Enjolras (I'm really not sure about this. This is the only name I have that REALLY bugs me for some reason.)
Fabrice Feuilly
Lucien Combeferre
Jean "Jehan" Prouvaire
Adrien Courfeyrac
Robèrt Bahorel
Jules Lesgle
Alain Joly
Jean-Marc Grantaire

Pérégrin Maynard Thénardier (later Gavroche)

I love that! Especially Pérégrin. Seems to fit him, even if nobody ever calls him that.

My barricade boy fanfiction has mostly been modern AU, so my first names are obscenely American (and unresearched, since I went with how it sounded).

Jason Enjolras
Luke Combeferre
Matt Courfeyrac
Joseph Feuilly
Gary Lesgle
Rob Joly
John Prouvaire
Richard "R" Grantaire
Tom Bahorel
And Musichetta even got a first name, Erica.
I also like Jack Montparnasse, but I took that from somebody else.

I've not got names decided for all the Amis, but my Grantaire's name is Marc, Combeferre's Guy, and Courfeyrac Gabriel. I've filched Daniel from Mme Bahorel's fic Corner of the Sky because it means God is my judge, and I find that fits his character rather well.

Wow... You know, I haven't really thought this through. Okay, here are the one's I like right now...
Michel Bahorel
Rene Combeferre
Sebastien Courfeyrac
Nicolas Joly
Christophe Feuilly

Not sure about the rest... I've seen so many Julien Enjolrai that the name just sort of stuck in my mind. But by god, Javert will always be Inspector to me. :)

Honestly, confessing, I don't have first names for Les Amis. Or Javert. It just seemed...strange to me, I suppose, like something wasn't quite clicking into place correctly. But I feel as if I'll get them someday, and I'm already on my way, as I now do have one for Feuilly, at least. Évrard, meaning "strong," and "brave as a wild boar." Unfortunately that's it, but I'll probably pop in here once in a while as I accumulate some names overtime that seem to fit.

I used to think "Enjolras", "Courfeyrac", etc were first names.

Normally I do not like assigning first names to them, but I have used "Emile" for Enjolras.
ImageTime Machine Theory:According to some people, Hugo had a time machine and based Enjolras on this user but made a male version of this user.

I always thought that with all the references Hugo had made for Enjolras being like a Saint-Just reincarnate, that perhaps he secretly, in his own little universe and private fan fiction, had christened him as Louis Antoine Leon de Enjolras. :? But I guess I'll never know.

Hehe, I've heard the suggestion of him being named Louis for suitably ironic reasons :D Quite a cute idea actually.

I like the Louis idea, though I haven't seen it before now. :D

I like Raymond Bahorel. Don't ask me why. Just sounds nice, I guess.

TBH I've mostly given up on having first names for Amis. There's not much point--they all regularly address each other by their last names, and I don't see any real reason to change that, which means first names are irrelevant unless they come up incidentally in the plot. (Being addressed by family members, having one's full name read out for some official purpose, etc.) There's also the fact that for most of them, particularly Enjolras, no one name ever feels right.

...okay, I lied a little. I have a couple of fem versions of Enjolras kicking about in my head/fic--one is actually a trans man, one is crossdressing For The Revolution--and for some reason they were always christened Léonide. I still don't know or particularly care what male first names they adopted though, any more than I know the first names of my bio-male Enjolras figments.

It just feels... wrong. To me, at least. Like, nothing I come up with works. I met them as "Courfeyrac' and "Enjolras" and that, and it feels like I'm making a new person.

Clearly, I have fantastic luck in the dating field.
