Forum Styles?

Postby MmeJavert » Sun Oct 22, 2006 9:16 am

Currently, the default forum style is this lovely dark blue theme. However, I know maybe not everybody likes the dark colours as much as I do. And maybe not everyone likes that bright white/blue/orange scheme that is the default scheme.

So here is where I put up a poll. Do you want to see more styles available for the forum? Any colour preference? The official phpBB forums have quite a few good ones, and I like to use those as they are, well, officially tested to make sure they are not virus ridden or buggy.

So... let me know? I can't make custom styles (trust me, I've already tried, and I am completely hopeless), but any suggestions on perhaps colours or even smiley packs or whatever are welcomed. As I said, the link above is where I get all the shiny extras. :D

The light-on-dark is a bit hard on the eyes after a while, but I do like it better than the other option, which is just not that attractive to me. So yes, if you find another theme that's pretty and functional, I'd love to give it a try. :D

I rather like (in this order): jasidogdotcom, Terayon2, Jet. Still blue, all of 'em. :D

The light-on-dark is less offensive to my eyes than dark-on-light, believe it or not. Still, if everybody else prefers something lighter, I will not object, because you all deserve something nice.

Well, this will be the default skin always. But I'm going to install some others, as alternate options, for those folks like duva who like the lighter ones.

I have downloaded about a dozen different skins, in various colours -- duva, I think Jet was one of them -- and I will get them installed as soon as I a) have time and b) can be assured of the Internet working for at least several hours. Right now Comcast is being more than usually evil, so I don't know.... XD

I have the light one because you can't see where you're scrolling in the dark versin (yet the dark version is cool). Not that it bothers me, but... smiley-packs?? :D

I just tried the light one and  . It was a bit difficult to look at. I think I'm so used to the dark one that it'd take a while to not be bothered by something else.
