I'd feel like a bloody parasite if I didn't at least try:

M'sr Marius, how is your hair?
It is still puffy, fluffy, like a bear?
M'sr Marius, do you care?
Is your complexion still light and fair?

Ooh, be-aaarr.

Cosette, my love!
Whose skin echoes a dove!
Cosette, where are thine gloves?
My dearest Cosette, the supreme being above!

Whatchu think you at, you blimey bugger?
You slimy ol' slugger!
You're ugly as your mothah!
Go back to ye garden and go 'waah waah'

/more-of-a-poem-then-an-actual-rap-song. Though, I have the excuse of not listening to too much rap on my side. Don't I?

HAHAHAHA! I wasn't expecting to start cracking up. Marius' hair is 'fluffy, puffy, like a bear?' Haha, that is what I will be thinking of from now on whenever I think of him... and Marius' language was great. But the third verse was when I started laughing hysterically. Was that Thenardier or something? Or was it Cosette, mhmhmh. "You're as ugly as your motha..."

Ohhhh, Éponine talking to Cosette! I GET IT! Hahah. Well, whoever said it, it would still be funny.

It would be amazing if it was Valjean talking to Marius... ^_^

Now I have to do that. Unless Schmergie wants to, of course.

No, this pretty much covers what Valjean would say to Marius!

Darn. I already wrote it. That hour musn't go to waste, I guess:

Marius, how may I say this politely?
Your star doesn't shine very brightly,
You stalk my daughter nightly,
You're wound very tightly,
You fail very rightly.

HAHAHA! That's even better! And I love the thing about him saying, "Marius, your star doesn't shine very brightly."

I'm imagining Marius storming up with his fists balled up, going, "I'll show him! Someday I'll play Alex in Aspects of Love, and Raoul in Phantom, and Caractacus Potts in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and Count Fosco in The Woman In White and Edna Turnblad in Hairspray, and THEN he'll be sorry!"

There's no 'I' in 'Team'. Though, there's a 'me' if you switch the letters around.

Hm. I'm dreadful at this. But I'm going to try it anyway, just to show them. It's like building a castle on a swamp.

I'm gonna tell you 'xactly why I love Marius
It's cos he makes me laugh, he is so hilarious
And he's a student of law, and he's got talents various
His name starts with "marry" and it ends with "us"
So don't you insult him or call him a wuss
Cos he's really so tough he could lift up a bus!
Well maybe I'm wrong and maybe I lie
But anyway I'll love him till I find a reason why
I shouldn't -- and the reason's cos he's such a cool guy
He's got a girlfriend, and her name is Cosette
And she's pretty and nice and he's in love, you bet!
And he wants to marry her, so their life is all set!
But wait, there's another girl, her name is Éponine,
And every time she sees him with Cosette she turns green
She's kinda crazy too so she changes the scene!
If you wanna know the rest, you ought to read the book
Or see the show onstage cos it's really worth a look!
And I don't own Les Miz, don't sue me -- I'm off the hook!

Er ... yes. That is why I love Pontmercy. Actually, he doesn't make me laugh all that much, but it rhymed so I HAD to put it in.

And here's one for Enjolras:

He's blond and he's pretty, but don't tell him that he's cute
Or he'll glare at you and look so scary that you'll go mute!
He's the leader of the students, Les Amis de l'ABC
If you join in his crusade, it'll really make his day.
He doesn't like the ladies and he doesn't like the men
But he fights for the downtrodden and I'll say it again:
Join in his crusade it is the right thing to do!
We'll have a fine republic when the battle is through
He doesn't see the rose and he's unconscious of the spring,
And yet he's so determined, he'll achieve anything.
Just cos he hasn't got a girlfriend doesn't mean he's free
He's crazy bout his Patria, a girl we can't see.
I likes him cos he's great and noble and for his cause
But I gotta admit he has serious flaws.
Like bein' so cold, it sure isn't healthy
And wearin' a red vest might not be all that stealthy!
He don't act like he cares 'bout his seven loyal lefties
Which is crazy cos the price they're gonna pay will be hefty
But he's not made of stone, and he's not always mad
He just don't like when people treat his Patria bad!

Atrocious? Enjolras would certainly think so.

Wow! These raps are utterly fantastic. I especially loved the Hitcheresque one, being a Boosh fan as well as a mizzie. Unfortunately, I can't rap to save my life so I thought I'd rewrite a song if that's ok. My favourite song at the moment is Mack the Knife which reminded me so much of Montparnasse I couldn't resist rewriting it for him, especially since his part in the musical really does not do him justice.

An assassin named Montparnasse, dear
Likes to prowl the streets at night
Just a lingre has ’Parnasse, dear
And he keeps it way out of sight

With Patron-minette en masse, dear
Trails of blood start to spread
Fancy gloves, though wears ‘Parnasse, dear
So there's never a trace of red

In an alley, in Austerlitz quarter
Lies a body oozing life
Someone's stealing round that corner
Could that be ‘Parnasse the Knife?

Was a gamin and a thief, dear
And he suffered a terrible pain
Murder was his only relief, dear
And that’s how Abel turned into Cain

He encountered Éponine, dear
In the Gorbeau tenement
She was only sweet sixteen, dear
And he left her no sentiments

They were supposed to be on guard, dear
While her father robbed Jean Valjean
But he defied that crook Thénard, dear
‘Cause playing Nemorin is much more fun

Then he assaulted Jean Valjean, dear
‘Cause he looked an easy prey
But his victim was an ex con, dear
Who gave a lecture on going astray

He helped rescue ‘Ponine’s old man, dear
‘Cause he was almost his son in law
But he had no marriage plans, dear
For he treated ‘Ponine like a whore

He was last seen with Patron-minette, dear
At a house on Rue Plumet
He planned to rob it for Jondrette. dear
‘Til ‘Ponine came and scared ‘em away

He does not speak the argot slang, dear
And you grisettes, don’t share his bed
For you won't see Monty's lingre, dear
‘Cause he slashed you and you're dead.

Oooo! Love Mack the Knife! What a great parody! I just wonder why nobody else thought of the Mack the Knife/Montparnasse thing before? I mean, it's so obvious, isn't it?

I'm surprised too, I had to check to see if nobody had thought of it first. I'm in a small production at the moment about the songs of Kurt Weill and as soon as I heard that song I just thought "OMG he's just like Montparnasse". If anyone plans on writing Montparnasse!the Musical, they can have full rights to the lyrics.
