(I wish so too...)

They pay you a decent stipend, but then you get in trouble for something that wasn't even your fault and are put on academic probation.

The sky becomes purple, but whatever caused it also ends up causing extreme acid rain that burns the skin of anyone it touches.

I wish I could find a better-paying job.

You find a job that pays spectacularly, but leaves with you no more than ten minutes of spare time in which to spend any of that money anyway. Otherwise, you're on the clock for 23h and 50m and expected to be focus all of your attentions on work for that time period.

I wish I had brought more tablet back with me from Scotland.

You brought the tablet, but on your way home you realized that it was broken beyond repair.

I wish I didn't have early morning classes.

You don't have early morning classes. Instead, you have an essay due early next morning but you haven't started writing it yet!
...which is actually my case.
I wish that wasn't

It isn't - the deadline was today. You're handing it in late. 8)

Pencils don't smudge, because they no longer write at all. Your only option is the Pen.

I wish more people paid musicians well.

The pay for musicians goes up higher than that of doctors or lawyers, but the qualifying test for musicians is made so insanely difficult that nobody qualifies.

I wish my neck wasn't sore.

Your neck is perfectly fine, but you've just broken your leg while playing soccer today.
Sorry for being mean. :D

You manage to slip away from the meeting, but promptly fall down through the drain hole and get stuck in the sewers of Paris! (fortunately, as a Mizzie, you can find your way down to the river). :P

Your watch runs on tritium, which glows green and irradiates you (I saw a real one like this once).
I wish for a three-hour opera of LM.
Don't mess with Texas! We mess up enough by ourselves.
I have actually made bullets like they're doing in my avatar. Then loaded the gun with a ramrod, and shot it. But I'm not feeling real good about guns right now.

There's a three-hour LM opera, but it's done really badly -- terrible score by an amateur composer, bad casting, and all kinds of needless changes to the plot so that it's not really LM anymore.

I wish I had more room in my house for books. (A common wish on this forum, I'm sure!)

Stupid question, I know, but is it true or just you making things up for this game?

So, you'll have enough space for books, but they're all in a language you don't understand at all.

Speaking of that, I really wish I understood German...
(NOT only for those musicals. Is there anyone who has done European philosophy in university? If you do, you know how I feel about reading those original texts!)

Just for the game, as far as I'm aware. *knocks on wood*

You understand German, but lose the ability to understand any other language. (Haven't studied German myself, so all I know of the language comes from movies and musicals. )

I wish the US election had gone differently.

Oooooh... :(
I second CC's wish, then.

My American friends all felt like it's the end of the world. I know nothing about American politics but wish things will get better for you guys.

So, you get the best president ever in American history, but the next day an alien army destroys the Earth during their invasion of the solar system. (Literally the end of the world, lol)

I'm so sorry.

I wish I didn't have to write the 10-page essay for said European philosophy course...
