Everyone currently alive.
It was Bahorel's great sacrifice that brought us to this, and he will be remembered forever for it. If they manage to stay alive, I can see Grantaire erecting a statue in his honour about it. Art critics will marvel over the beautifully scuplted bandaged hands in particular.

You mean it wasn't already?

And why on earth is marius that far up? I mean, he's adorable and all that but, why?

I'm more interested in Acaila and Geronimo's reasoning for whacking Valjean and letting Marius stay. :P

It's a *character* quiz. Valjean doesn't really have that many interesting moments post-conversion. He's important, but as an actual *character* I never rate him that highly.

And if you want to talk about importance, the Bishop was gone in no time!

As for Marius, I did downvote him for a while with a view to getting rid of him, but our forum Marius made a very impassioned speech on his behalf that convinced me to halt my plans for him. Terribly civilised :)

I disagree pretty strongly with that. I think he has more interesting moments than most of Les Amis. But to each his or her own.

That's kinda the point of the game ;) If we all agreed it wouldn't last very long at all now would it?

But I know the characters I'd like to hang out with and hear more about and Valjean for me is just kinda...."eh...."

Ha, yes I did, though I would hardly call it an impassioned speech, though I did plead before a very ruthless jury, which ultimately exhibited estimable compassion and postponed judgement, at least for a while.
...Though he certainly doesn't need my assistance, now.

And yes, I miss Valjean, too. And if he was real, I'd hang out with him.

And most of Les Amis are "eh" to me (basically all the ones who aren't Enjolras, Grantaire or Courfeyrac). I don't get the obsession with them. Oh well.

So would I! I'd happily sit on a park bench and discuss literature with him every day. And hug him and tell him what a wonderful person he is.

and Enjolras seeing Marius' desperate state gave some of his own points to Marius :?
ImageTime Machine Theory:According to some people, Hugo had a time machine and based Enjolras on this user but made a male version of this user.

Acaila! Look, quick, before it changes; they are equal at last! http://abaisse.the-barricade.net/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=2128&p=93709#p93709 Well, except for Courfeyrac, but hey, he's unharmed, and that's something?

EDIT: And there it goes again...ah well. One minute of equality is better than none?

I can see where you're coming from there sort of. I think they're great characters myself and I really like all of them in their own way as characters, but I'm not too bothered about one or two of the smaller ones in all honesty. Nothing against the likes of Bossuet and Bahorel, but nothing much for them either in comparison to others. I wouldn't have all but one of my final 7 as Les Amis anyway. I think the appreciation comes from them being characters who you only really understand fully if you've read the book though, if you know what I mean, because the personalities aren't revealed too much in the musical with the exceptions of Enjolras and Grantaire.

You could say that about pretty much all of the characters, but what's wrong with that?

Yeah you could. I'm not saying I dislike them by any means because I don't, and I've always had a soft spot for them as characters because most I know only know their basic names from the stage show, and I can understand why many are massive fans of them anyway. I am in a couple of specific cases with characters from Les Amis, just not all of them, but that's me and like I say I can completely get those whose favourites are Bahorel, Bossuet, Joly etc.
