The Good Karma Thread

Postby Mamselle Miss » Sat May 17, 2008 3:30 am

Since we could all use some.

Think of this as the anti-rant thread.

This thread is for all of us to spread a little good karma around. All you have to do is post something nice.

It doesn't necessarily have to be about someone on this forum. It doesn't have to be about anybody really. It just has to be a good thing.

This was inspired by an e-mail my mom sent me yesterday, and I guess it worked. The next e-mail I got was the one that said I got in here!

I'm hoping this will be an antidote to any drama you may be experiencing. :)

My student cooperated today and began writing on his own volition. Makes my tutoring job so much more fulfilling.

I finally found a program that changes .avi to .mp4. It works pretty well, and I'm finally putting together my first DW youtube video. W00t. ...I guess need to actually find a DW forum now. But I don't want to.

I finally have time to go shopping, so I'm finally going to have actual FOOD in the flat :D

Also, Loony, please excuse my ignorance, but what is 'DW'?

I think DW is Doctor Who.

I got good results on an exam I thought I did really badly on. :)

I got 37/40 on an essay that I was convinced I'd failed. And we watched movies in three of my six classes :)

(I'm trying to disguise the fact that all I talk about is Doctor Who by shortening it to DW. I ain't foolin nobody.)

Uhhhhmmmm... I can't think of anything super cheery that's also related to LM off the top of my head.

(Those kittens are frightening. Sorry. I think that I'm the only person on this planet that doesn't like cats...)

On the positive side, Germany's millions of public holidays mean that this week is only three days!

Who says it has to be related to LM? Besides those kittens are very cute! :D

So. I'm going to New York next year and it turns out that a friend of the family, who is a singer, is going to arrange for me to GO BACKSTAGE AT THE FLIPPING MET!

AHHHHHHH!

Can you tell I'm happy?

Hell yes. That's cool.
My uncle is a stage designer, and I've been on stage in some German opera houses too. It was very interesting every time.

I've already been backstage at our local opera house. Actually, I've sung there. But I'm really excited to go to the Met. This whole trip is going to be great!

I was in the chorus of a very small local opera company. We did two concerts at the opera house, the first one was the Verdi Requiem, the other one was Verdi's Four Sacred Pieces with scenes from different operas, like Aida, Lakme, and Il Trovatore.
