Tis very good.
Incredibly long but good. It gets a bit dull in the middle. A bit too dry and political but the characterisation and writing generally is wonderful. It's made me absolutely despise Saint-Just though. I wish she'd included him as one of the main protagonists along with Danton, Desmoulins and Robespierre because it may have made him a more sympathetic character. I'd definitely recommend it though.

I think the last thing I bought on amazon was the A Tale of Two Cities soundtrack. That show is ridiculously addictive.

There's a musical? To youtube!
There's a musical of The Man Who Laughs, but it's in Russian, and I've forgotten most of the Russian I learned

Let me know what you think.
I was intrigued rather than anything else the first time I saw it but then on second viewing I was absolutely hooked.

So, I'm halfway through the English edition of The French Revolution. I actually am really into it now.

For a second there I thought you meant the musical (la revolution francaise). Didn't think there would be an english version of that. ;)
Is there a good quality version of the tv show/movie online. I've watched most of it on youtube but the quality isn't great.

I'm battling the low quality English one because I gave up on the French one, but apart from that I can't find any other English ones

That's what I thought. I've been doing the same. Whoever made those gifs on tumblr clearly has a high quality recording but they're not up for sharing it.

I approve of this entire conversation completely. :D Glad you liked APoGS Rachelle! I agree with everything you said, and will further add that I think it managed to stay fairly balanced in it's portrayals of the major revolutionaries, without falling prey to several common stereotypes and biases.

ATOTC the concert is one of my favorite things to listen to. :D Not always James Barbour's biggest fan, but I love him as Carton.
