BUT if you can't muster up either of those (and really how do you do anything at all without one of those) you can show two pieces of any other ID, including but not limited to your health card (of which literally everyone should have since it's the card you flash at the hospital/doctor's office to get your free stuff!), SIN card (again, everyone should have one because without which you can't get a job), credit or debit card with your name on it, student card, any kind of bill or bank statement, a personal cheque, or yes, your library card. Yes, your free library card from wherever can count for one of the two pieces of ID you use at the polls to indicate you are you as long as it has your name on it. (But at least one of the two things has to have your current address on it.)
And if you can't even do THAT, you can swear an oath. Show two things with your name on it and bring a friend who will promise you live where you say you live and you're in. Library card, debit card and a friend who'll say "yeah, yeah, they live where they say they live" and you're in.
