Dreamcast of BBC series Graphics

Postby Marie32 » Sun Feb 03, 2013 5:10 am

I think this is the right thread?? oh well.

I was messing around in photoshop for practise for school, and made some of these. This is a dream cast for a BBC television of the book (not musical) that I'm going to make when I'm really rich and successful

So anyway cast is so far
Valjean - Sean Bean
Javert - Javier Bardem
Fantine - Rosamund Pike
Cosette - Holliday Grainger
Marius - Jeremy Irivine
Éponine - Kaya Scodelario

I'm making more for the thenardiers, les amis, the bishop and patron minette as well! except i can't find an enjolras that's pretty enough  any suggestions??

*and apologies if some of the quotes are wrong, are bad or whatever. Hugo writes so much on some characters that its hard to pick a single sentence then so little on others its hard to find one.

Love love love your choices!!!

Javier Bardem is such a Javert - similar name too!!!

Finding an Enjolras seems tough - which young (straight?) bloke in today's world would willingly put his country and his own life ahead of his girl (unless you're an army man)? In fact, which bloke in the modern world (if he's straight) would "chastely" lower his eyes if a girl appeared before him? I know you're searching for an actor, but I can't think of anyone who would pull it off so successfully & convincingly.

Thank you! I know I love Javier (nothing like Javert in real life of course but his roles seem sort of similar and he does look the part I think - he has the sideburns at least!!)

Enjolras is so difficult! If I see an actor who's good looking enough, like angelic, however rare that is, they don't ever seem to have the presence that the character should have, it's so annoying!

Can I put my neck out and say Aaron Tveit. I think he could play Enjolras non-singing too.

Yesterday, I read a fanfic in which Enjolras' "terrible" side had come into focus - him making all kinds of brusque and biting and sarcastic remarks (& being completely unapologetic about it). If it were me, I would definitely be terrified of such a person. And you know what, I could actually visualize Aaronjolras having that sort of character. Whether that fanfic had been written keeping in mind Tveit himself, I don't know. But, the passion and fire and terror were there to be seen.

I love your choices! They all look exactly as they should...
