This ran for a while over at the lesmiz community on LiveJournal, but since most of the action has shifted to Abaissé I think I'll re-start it over here. Although I'd rather not clutter up the board with lots of threads and polls on one subject, or make this subject to complicated rules, so unless anyone objects, it won't be a contest. Just think of the most lulz-tastic captions you can and squee over the best ones.
It would have been significantly easier to retrace the path to the super secret munitition stash had not Jehan translated the instructions into three languages successively and back, then rephrased the result to resemble a Petrarchan sonnet at the bottom of the map. Javert, having witnessed the earlier singing, was much disturbed by this far less straightforward form of lyric narrative.
And of course Combeferre wouldn't put his bleeding gun down even one second.
My first thought was that Javert was showing all the amis a picture of Valjean. Javert's probably saying something like "That's the guy, if you see him...let me deal with him". Enjolras is all "Uh...yeah mate...whatever you say...I've kinda got an insurrection to organise now."
Oh, and whoever is raising his eyebrows in the background is thinking "So that's why they call him Jean, Jean the sexy ex-con".
Les Miserables-the greatest thing since stolen bread!
Javert: "See, it says so right here! Subsection 5, paragraph six states clearly that it is either mullet or sideburns - wearing both at the same time is a capital offence!"
"The principles of freedom, of humanity, and of justice, will finally triumph over falsehood, tyranny and delusion, and every principle inimical to the interests of the human race" - Edward Despard, 1803
