Re: Enjolras and His Singing Brethren (12 March '11)

@Rose in Misery: Now you're just *tempting* me to do it!

@Maria: I don't know if there's a video of Jerome stroking the stars around (and I only learnt about *that* from MmeB), but there *is* a video of him being a very creepy, shifty-eyed Javert here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qqeTuwDlBnY THIS Javert I would not want to meet under *any* circumstances!

@MmeB: You don't know how badly my right hand is itching for a pencil now.

Watch that video, and then picture, when he gazes up at the stars for "Stars, in your multitudes", that he reaches up with his right hand and strokes the air. He apparently got told to quit doing it sometime after the end of June, because he did it every time I saw him (and I saw him at least four times before I left the country, including his first performance).

He has to be the creepiest Javert ever.

Oh, yes. Easily the creepiest Javert ever!

Spawned by the discussion on Jerome Pradon's very creepy, shifty-eyed star molester potrayal of Javert (2002).

Note to self: stop browsing fanart just before going to bed. Chances are, it's something that'll keep you awake the whole night.

@Rose in Misery: Haha, glad you like it!

@Maria: Ayuh, an inspector who caresses stars is one you would not want to run into on the streets of Paris. Cheers.

@Starlene: HA! But I'm guilty of doing the same.

@Aurelia: Thanks!

@MmeB: Cheers, and I'm glad you like it. ;) The poor, poor stars indeed.

This. Is. Hilarious.
Ahem. I should probably said "tragic" - poor stars!

Believe me, when this joke is tired of laughing,
I will hear the promise of my Orpheus sing...

Ill-Remembered Weeks of Drugged Folly

WARNING! Rated R, and not just because Grantaire's in it. ;) Even if I did try to keep it reasonably tasteful.

For MmeJavert, who wrote me this awesome fic for the SantaFrenchBoys Christmas exchange. This shouldn't have taken me three months to get around to...

Image <<--CLICK

Grantaire, a bunch of unnamed girls, and a bunch of guys named after French hockey stars, indulging in uh, somewhat unsavoury activities involving large quantities of hashish and general depravity.

I'd initially planned for the picture to be in smoky reds, but I realised that what I really wanted was to capture Grantaire's unpleasant realisation at just what on earth had been happening at those parties, so the picture wound up taking an abrupt green shift, lol.

Edited for typo!

I love the delightfully debauched expression on R's face. There's always something about your pictures that makes me feel as if I'm there in the scene, with all the darkness and grit that should be there.

Oh wow, that's amazing. The level of detail in the background is awesome, and I love the smoke! And the overall color palette really does work well for the mood -- there is a beautiful uneasiness to it.

Thank you for sharing!
Look, Louis-Philippe, I'm really happy for you and I'mma let you finish, but the Republic had the best French government of all time. OF ALL TIME.
