Character Sketch, Montparnasse, G, 300x400

Postby parnasse » Wed Sep 24, 2008 12:08 am

I hope I titled this correctly...

Anyway, the first character sketch I did I gave to the fellow playing the role.

So, I tried again today and this is what I came up with... (for fun I added on some facts, inspired by Kragey's Mizzie series):

Image

Name - Montparnasse, or 'Parnasse' (as Éponine calls him).
Occupation - the knife weilding bad-ass of Thenardier's gang.
Skills - can sneak up on people with his super ninja-like powers.
Enjoys - putting people in chokeholds (especially Éponine), robbing people, and pacing around Paris with his knife of doom.
Does not enjoy - cuddling, separation from his weapon of choice, romantic walks on the beach, and fair play.

*stares*

He totally DOES enjoy cuddling... he just pretends not to...

See, I believe that he's either secretly gay or madly in love with Éponine. Today's one of the days where I'm going with the first theory. Anyway, either way he doesn't want to admit it to his friends, now does he?

(Also your drawing is great! I love that he has a girly waist. As he should.)

And the girly hips...

He's a bit faceless, though.

Thank you, both.

Usually when I do character (design/costume) sketches I leave the face blank, so people can kind of put what they think should go there, leave it uo to interpretation. :)

When I do a full on rendering that's when the crazy detail comes out (it took me two weeks to complete a portrait of Johnny Depp once, just because I wasn't happy with the shadowing on his face...)
