Cosette Logo Costume

Postby deHavilland » Wed Apr 10, 2013 7:24 am

So like, once upon a time in 2005, I went trick or treating as the Cosette logo. (Yeah, I went trick or treating until I was like 18 years old, deal with it. I probably got more candy than you.)

Anyway, this is it. (Photo taken long after the fact, so yeah, it'd been sitting falling apart for at least a year or two by this point.)

*jaw drop* That was you? I've come across this picture a couple times on occasion, I think, and marveled at the absolute brilliance and amazingness of it. Wow. Seriously, this is so amazing, and I'm glad, too, that I can tell you so. Because truly. That's just brilliant.

Yeah, I'm that loser. In fact, I still probably have the head piece kicking around somewhere amid my belongings. If I encounter it, I will take a photo. I definitely still have the skirt, which I tore all to shreds and threw a couple patches onto. But I know for a fact the top was sacrificed to make the Cerberus plushie that I took to Pompeii with me.

But thanks, Marius. I clearly put the most effort into my costume of my pictured friends. Except maybe the yellow ball gown from Beauty and the Beast, which would have been SO much more impressive if she hadn't been wearing a sweater under it. I mean, look at me: it's obviously not that cold out.

There, slightly bigger:

Oh God this is amazing and you are pweetyyyy
Then I saw their trembling features warp and, gradually,
Their foreheads turn pale and dissolve in front of me,
And everyone, like a stream that flows into a sea,
Became completely lost in a dark immensity.

*applauds* I wish you'd come to my house, I would've died. Even though I didn't know what Les Mis was at the time. And we didn't know each other. But still, awesome costume!
