Handwriting Quote Project

Postby Acaila » Sun Feb 17, 2013 7:58 pm

(oh it was so exciting to get to press New Topic  )

Ok guys and girls, so an idea popped up in Le Cafe that we should all write out on paper in our lovely handwriting, a favourite brick quote and sign it with our username. So, please go ahead and post them up in here.

(Also, different languages would be fun too, why not do two? :D)

Now, to go and find my notebook....
Revolution: like Christmas come early only with more death
Abaisse Chief/Chef
"Les Amis Fun Package - The Awesome Traits of Each"
"She's basically Enjolras meets Amy Pond"
Sings Stars "way better than Russel Crowe"

Here's my offering. I love this quote, and I feel like it's the whole of Les Mis in microcosm. Hope, progress, love and sacrifice <3

You have lovely handwriting Acaila! That really is the perfect quote to sum up the broad themes of Les Mis. <3

I chose this quote because it reflects a lot of my feelings on war, and also expresses a lot of what we try to show through civil war reenacting.

Sorry the signature is a separate attachment and that it's so large! I forgot to add that to my quote and had to take a separate picture.

I LOVE that quote Zelle! What a fantastic choice!
You have beautiful writing too! It's much neater than mine (that is my writing as neat as it ever gets!)

I apologize, because I leafed through intending on doing the one about Prouvaire being yet intrepid, and then my thumb landed on this and I thought, "ah, good, charming, yes."

Oh, Zelle, you have the kind of handwriting I long for. It's wonderful, I say. And that's one of my favorite quotes, too; I found it horrendously hard to choose just now while going through.
And yours, too, Geronimo; it's so...neat and clean.

Anyway, I've got mine, here, if you like. Yes, I cheated and did two, because frankly, I voluntarily own that my handwriting is not honoring to Victor Hugo's work, and thus have partially redeemed myself by trying really hard on the next one, while it's still far from perfect.

And besides, it's hard to choose. But these, I thought, summed up a bit for me two themes that I think not only Les Mis, but humanity hinges on.
Our chimeras are the things which most resemble us. Each of us dreams of the unknown and the impossible in accordance with his nature.

Your handwritings not bad at all Geronimo! :) It's very clear and legible and purposeful.

I love those quotes Marius, the first one especially. <3 Your regular handwriting looks great to me, but the second one is lovely. :) Do you do caligraphy?

I absolutely adore your little signature, Marius. I feel as though it's fitting to one Pontmercy would actually sign with! <3

Thank you! I don't, Zelle, though I wish I did, and I'm related to people who do (it's the only way those in my family tree can come out with legible anything  ). My brother saw a handwriting specialist about this very issue...she said, "He needs to learn typing." This is just what happened when I was bored in class one day and decided to concentrate on writing something nicely for once.

And thanks, Geronimo! I suppose it is, though maybe a bit less than the "charming chirography" Cosette admired so.

I love these! Havvy, that quote always makes me smile for some reason. Gotta love Bahorel.

Marius, your handwriting in the first picture actually reminds me of my own, heh. I will absolutely do this tomorrow!

I love that he bounds. What even, Bahorel, you overgrown puppy dog.

Looking forward to seeing your words, Mac!

These are so great, and I am absolutely loving seeing the quotes people choose!

Geronimo - I love how your quote and writing seem to go together so well :D

Marius - your second quote looks really arty and is a great choice, but the first one especially is adorable and so very much the sort of thing I could expect you to pick! :D

They're all adorable, I envy Zelle's handwriting, and Marius, both of yours are great, but the second is kind of amazing.

This is kind of assuming that Hugo's letter to the Italian editor counts.
