Les Misérables, unabridged, condensed. (Parody, sort of.)

Postby lemonlye » Sat Jul 07, 2012 3:30 am

Hello all,

As a very weird way of showing my utter and obsessive love for Les Misérables, I have written an extremely condensed and fairly irreverent version of The Brick. Though I like to think it could serve as Cliff's Notes for those who haven't read it or need a refresher, its ideal audience is probably those who do know the book well. (That'd be you guys!) Should you be interested, here it is:

I've done this in the past with five of the Harry Potter books (I've read them all, but I still have two parodies left to write), and all three Lord of the Rings films. Someone suggested I do it for Les Mis when they saw me posting infatuated updates about my reading progress last month, and I seized upon the idea with zeal. So, enjoy, and I hope you find it worthy.

Best,
Molly

You ...

You broke my brain with awesome.
And I will be a revolution
Be a voice beyond these lies
If it takes my life
And I will not be lost in silence
I will not let darkness hide
This hope beyond my sight
The reason for my life
The revolution
