Re: YouTube links

Thanks so much for sharing those clips! It's great to see that Japan also did a pretty sizable event for their production's 30th anniversary. (Also nice to see their original and recent/current casts!) :D

Re: The Phantom of the Opera

Ah, cool! Hope you enjoy, and let us know what you think! I'd love the chance to see either LM or POTO (or better yet, both!) on the West End. :D

Re: West End Cast - 2017/2018

Is it wrong that I kinda want to see Killian have a moment where he reacts like that during the show?

Re: The Rant thread

Sei bereit... (yay, hint dropping! It's a certain Austrian vampire musical, for those who are curious.) *looks up the cast list* Oy, you weren't kidding. Think I'm more interested in certain names in the ensemble than the principal cast (with the ensemble including Fernand Delosch, who I lik...

Re: The Rant thread

I know no one will understand this but I need to rant about it anyway. Is it weird that I'm so attached to the original production of a musical to the point that I can hardly accept anything that deviates from it? I'm only 3 years into that fandom, but sometimes I really can't help but feel frustra...

Re: YouTube links

An clip of the original Japanese production of LM. It mainly follows Gavroche around, as he gets collared by various cast members (starting with Goro Noguchi's Marius). I think that's Takeshi Kaga practicing his scales. Also speaking are Ran Otori (Mdm Thenardier), Sakae Takita (the other Valjean/J...

I misread this at first and thought you said he nearly died several times. I didn't think playing Javert was that dangerous (aside from the jump at the end)! lol

Re: Upcoming Alumni Projects

Though I'm not too keen on what I've heard from the English soundtrack for Disney's Beauty and the Beast remake (ugh, autotune), I've been eagerly snapping up clips and info from the foreign-language dubs. Thus, I've found a couple of LM alumni who are in the Japanese dub. Kaho Shimada (Éponine on ...

Re: Le Cafe Mu(in)sain

Then they picked Willy the Swen at 8.... *vomits everywhere* Oh dear. Him above Tam, really? I'm not even the biggest Tam fan, but... (I'm kinda morbidly curious, but also dreading the thought that this person might've put Terrence in their top 3. It'd probably end up being more like Quast-...

Re: The Phantom of the Opera

Heh... This isn't to do with the stage musical, but I thought I'd post it here. So the new Mummy remake with Tom Cruise is apparently the start of an expanded universe, because everyone's doing them nowadays. In this case, Universal Studios is putting together a "Dark Universe" with new ta...

Re: hi stranger.

Hee hee! Pence visited Hawaii last month, intending to visit Pearl Harbor but ultimately chickening out when he learned that there would be protesters there to meet him. I sadly couldn't be with them in person that day, but I was certainly there in spirit. :D

Re: Le Cafe Mu(in)sain

I hope everyone here who lives in or is visiting London is safe after yesterday's attack. :( What a hateful, horrible thing these attacks are. Still, in the long run, I'm more afraid of the backlash than of the terrorists--as long as they don't get hold of nukes. Aye, very true. Especially with the...

Thank you again for the livestream, Havs! And thanks to everyone else who was there. Hope we can do this again sometime soon! :D

Out of curiosity, what else did you watch after I had to leave?

Re: Barricade Day 2017

7 AM for me in Hawaii... Think that'll work! I'm kinda curious about the West End casts with Daniel Koek as Valjean and Tam Mutu as Javert, but will be happy to watch whichever boot you wish to show. :D
