Just finished The Lady Elizabeth by Alison Weir. I don't really have any response besides !@#$%! Now finishing The Affair of the Poisons by Anne Somerset.

Okay, so I've been writing a TV series for almost a year now, and have started the exhausting process of trying to get an agent to help me sell it to a network. It's tiring, nerve-wracking, and often dispiriting. So when I see news like this, it kind of makes me want to hurt people.

Wow, a lot happened while I was away. Re: tricolour sashes- I have one that I made out of ribbon two Halloweens ago. I'm also interested in the M- sur M- tour, as well as a general walk-about of Paris. (In regards to learning French, I'm better at written than I am at speaking. I recommend r...

"Children of England"? Yeah, that's by Weir. It's heavily slanted towards Bloody Mary, though.

I'm midway through Day Two (though I've been thoroughly spoiled as to who dies) and am I the only one wincing over RTD's raging classism here? All of the scenes with Ianto's sister and her family make me cringe.

Well if we're quoting disputed last words, Kitty Howard needs to put her two cents in: "I die a queen, but I would rather die the wife of Culpepper."

I'd like to come, and I'll probably have my parents behind the idea- my mother keeps bugging me to "do stuff" while I'm still young. So.

This article has some good ones. And of course, since you mentioned her, I have to repost Anne Boleyn's execution speech: Good Christian people, I am come hither to die, for according to the law, and by the law I am judged to die, and therefore I will speak nothing against it. I am come hither to a...
