Re: Secrets of the Deep

No, don't apologize! An author always likes to hear their work praised! Thanks so much for leaving the comment!

I'm glad that Jehan + lobster is such a hit, though I'm kind of bemused as to why.

Cthulhu fhtagn

So, this time of year is rough on us all, and was particularly rough to Hannah. She's keen on Jehan and I thought, well, things could be worse.

For example, Cthulhu could have been summoned.

Therefore, I give you Cthulhu fhtagn

Enjoy and beware the many-tentacled elder gods!

Re: The Art of Dandyism (26 Nov '10)

Ooooh I am so behind, but I'll comment on the two latest at least! a. I am so glad I have pretty much infected your brain with my fanfic. b. Musichetta! She's charming and somehow manages to pull off 1830s hair. That's really hard to do. c. Enjolras's facial expression! Oh my God, I can't decide whe...

Re: Small colour works - Enjolras Fenetre

This is lovely! It seems like this is after the 1830 revolution- Enjolras is taking a well-earned and hope-filled break, basking in the Parisian summer sunlight. The background is absolutely gorgeous. I spent a good few minutes staring at it in astonishment, since it looks just like Paris (and, rega...

Re: Hannah's doodle thread

SO LATE ON SO MANY THINGS. At any rate: 1. Vampire Marius: It makes so much sense and yet it is somehow still a face-palmy concept. Poor Marius, you overemphasize the emo in vampire. It does however, raise the interesting and salient question, who is more emo: a Romantic, or a vampire? The world wil...

A Change of Engagement

Ugh, I'm a dreadful person, not keeping up with the board and the new fics and art and all. I humbly beg your forgiveness. I'm very sorry- I'll catch up once the semester is over and I'm not half-crazed with literary theory. But... er, quite sorry to just chuck this in when I'm being dreadful about ...

Re: Small colour works - Bluebell woods

I absolutely love the colors here and have spent several minutes staring at Courfeyrac's fantastic hunting costume. Why on earth did fashion evolve away from the 1820s/30s aesthetic for men?

Re: Barricades Comic: Corinth Page 5 (19 Oct '10)

I wish I had something more useful or coherent to say, but these are just brilliant- the detail is remarkable and I have such fun going over each page and seeing the clothes, and the buildings, and the individual students, etc. They are fabulous! For the moment, I'm a bit dumbfounded- there's so muc...

In Vino Veritas

Today I found myself with free time, for the first time in a few months and dashed out this bit of silliness: In Vino Veritas . Basically, a few months ago, Marianne and Hannah sent me an email about drunk!Enjolras, which I am ashamed to say I neglected until now. Here's my take- predictably very si...

Re: PureDiamondLight's Illustration pics

Ha! That is hilarious! I love Jehan's anachronistic ensemble and I adore your Combeferre as usual! He has an expression of (slightly bosky) bemused tolerance and I adore how Bahorel thinks that dripping absinthe into Jehan's mouth is a valid use of scientific equipment! Your cartoons are absolutely ...

Re: Ahoy, everyone!

Hello and best of luck! I still can't manage the entire Brick in French- I can only read sections at a time and I'm still quite baffled as to a lot of Hugo's vocabulary. My advice would be to have a really comprehensive dictionary near you!

Re: PureDiamondLight's Illustration pics

Oooh, I love this! It's really soft somehow- I think in the lines and the color scheme?- and really, really sweet! I love their postures, and the way Enjolras seems to have launched himself at Courfeyrac as opposed to vice versa, and I am more amused than I should be at the fact that Courfeyrac stil...
