Re: ic grantaire tumblr, anyone else up for an ami?

Hey, if anyone's interested, the roleplay blog group does not have a Courfeyrac, a Cosette, a Marius, or a Joly. There is an audition opportunity if anyone would like to play one of these characters! The group blog is here . Information on auditions is located on the blog. Feel free to send me a pm ...

Re: Le Cafe Mu(in)sain

So I just completed my Nanowrimo novel.
Especially exciting as its the first time I've ever finished a multichapter manuscript that wasn't for school.

You should try to get some sleep, Relly. Don't forget it's easier to remember things when you're rested.

It says Gillenormand calls M. Pontmercy a slasher

I'm wondering why the woman who met Marius at the door was weeping. If she was his landlady (and I'm pretty sure she is) were people normally that well acquainted with their tenants? Was it just a reaction to his death? Or were they unusually close?

Re: The Rant thread

I had to get my blood drawn, my hemoglobin count is way low. But when she was drawing blood she asked me my favorite book, and for the rest of the time I talked about Les Mis. It helped me not focus on the needle. So I need to take medicine to stop the blood flow, and iron supplements, and possibly ...

Pale as a sheet, dizzy when I walk quickly for five seconds, and bleeding way too much. I'm missing school to go to the doctor, because I've had my period for two weeks now and I personally feel like hell.

Nah. He's fantastic, but he's too much like myself, and it would be a very unhealthy relationship.

That makes sense. I was really confused the first couple times I read through it, and I think I just brushed it off as translator weirdness.

Re: The Four Temperaments

Jehan is melancholy. Hugo literally says it in the novel. Lesgle is phlegmatic, most likely, Bahorel is sanguine, Grantaire as melancholic, and I agree with you on the rest. Basing the traits of the temperaments off of the introvert/extrovert and people-oriented/task-oriented definition.

Re: Le Cafe Mu(in)sain

In the idiomatic sense, I guess it's like coming to one's senses. If someone were trying to convince you that Les Mis was awesome, and you didn't think so, they might tell you that you'd "come around" if you watched their bootleg recording; that is, you would be senseless until they made y...

It is difficult, because he does have traits from both, being people-oriented to a degree, but I like the idea of him coolly correcting the prejudice against Slytherins. :D

Re: The Sorting Hat

Haha, no way will Enjolras be in Gryffindor. He's a Slytherin in my head, because I connect the Houses to the four temperaments, and Enjolras is definitely choleric: extroverted, but very task-motivated rather than people-motivated , which corresponds to sanguine/Gryffindor. The same Sorting can app...
