Re: Upcoming US Tour

I am, however, warning people who don't know the 25th anniversary tour is not using the original staging because those who expect the original staging will be disappointed not because this sucks but because they walked in expecting something they aren't going to get. And yes, I am going to pay full...

Re: Upcoming US Tour

Hey, the current tour was designed to be a crowd-pleaser just as the original production was. The new orchestrations were designed to be liked and were meant to be appealing. You don't have to be a veteran fan to hold credibility or have your opinion valued. All you need is to have seen the show. Th...

Re: Les Gutterables: The Most Sexual Lines in the Musical

I absolutely adore all of you for being such pervs.

That's one thing about the fandom I've observed over the years that is consistent--we've all got our minds in the gutter, and aren't at all apologetic for it either.

Instead, we create sexual musical lines threads and compose slashy fic, hooray!

Re: Needing Help

I'd gladly help if my Photoshop skills were a little more on the pro side. I'd chuck Javert from the pic, replacing him with what would be there behind him. I'm sure there are a ton of advanced Photoshop techniques that would give you what you want. Find a Photoshop expert. If you're lucky, there wi...

Re: Les Misérables Fan concert????

I tried this once, and it bombed.

There are always a ton of people with enough enthusiasm and aspirations to be their favorite character.

There is never enough talent, time, dedication, or courageous/committed folks!!

Good luck though. I support your project all the way!

Re: Upcoming US Tour

It's getting nearer and nearer to the Los Angeles premiere and I still have very, very mixed feelings. I can't confirm anything, but I have a very disturbing feeling that so many of these changes are strictly over money. As in, "that costs too much. Find a different way of doing it so it will c...

Re: Dog Eats Dog on the OLCR

The Yamaha DX7 keyboard was popular enough back then and was used in most of the era's pop songs. I doubt they'd turn to an up and coming, risky stage musical to generate publicity and sales, lol. Alun Armstrong did not write "Dog Eats Dog." I haven't read the Complete Book of Les Misérabl...

Re: Anti Musical

[Type Your Name], that happens to me ALL THE TIME. It just happened now at another forum--there's a storm raging outside, lighting, thunder, lights go out, I lose a massive post I had been writing and poured my heart in. I'd slam my fist on my new desk if it weren't made of glass. Your comments on A...

Re: I don't know what Abaissé means

Hi, mister. I believe you occasionally post over at M.net, right? Nice to see you here. :D I am really strange in that I'm this HUGE fan but don't post here very often. I lurk. I guess I feel I'm a bit too insane for this place sometimes, and will have copies of the brick hurled at me, lol. Eh, it's...

Re: The Rant thread

I'm not one to get all weepy-whiney over everything, but I get into weird depressive states when everything is going well. Doesn't make sense, I know. Got promoted in January and I'm finally getting a real taste of what it's like to teach my own classroom instead of running around performing menial ...

Re: 25th Cast Album

First four tracks are aiight. I just spewed a detailed opinion of them elsewhere, so I will recap in a nutshell. Pros: - It's practically the original orchestration...dressed-up. There are close to no instances of completely original orchestral work. - Some of the new stuff is effective. Example: Op...
