Re: The Phantom of the Opera

Jay Armstrong Johnson just got announced as the new Raoul on Broadway which is exciting because of reasons.

Reasons.

Re: West End Cast - 2017/2018

They've had that stuff in the trailer before IIRC, so it stI'll wouldn't be that innovative.

Re: West End Cast - 2017/2018

Well, it's just footage of the show with a different cast. It's not like they're going to add jet packs and bears or anything.

Re: What Les Mis Character are you? quiz

Hmmmm... Well, Charles-Jeanne wasn't mentioned by name in the Brick, so I think I'm going to go with... Jean-Jacques Staub ! He was a German emigre whose ability to also speak French was super helpful in dealing with his Parisian clientele. (Kind of like coming to France on an internship, except for...

Ditto for me, first script readthrough on the 8th and nothing before then!

I was going to go to Cuba but then I didn't. ... March, I guess.

Re: Star Wars!

Mark Hamill gave an interview months ago where he said he disagreed with Rian Johnson's fundamental understanding of Luke Skywalker, and more recently gave another one along the same lines followed by a quick, "but-go-see-the-movie-please-don't-kill-me-Disney" plug of the film. If Mark Ham...

Re: Star Wars!

Lifelong Star Wars fan, zero intention of seeing the Last Jedi. To me, it's like cementing a particular story line that I don't much care for in the mainstream consciousness and it's easier for me to pretend it never happened if I don't have to sit through it (though I did read all the spoilers imme...

Jaaaaa, det är jättebra. (Också är det en rätt bra video. Jag är inte säker om jag har den här i min samling.)

Gjorde jag okej?

Re: The Phantom of the Opera

Some news from the Broadway production: James Barbour is leaving the title role, and someone new (or not-so-new) will be coming in for the 30th anniversary in New York. Laird Mackintosh will cover the role from Barbour’s final performance on Dec. 23 until the new full-time Phantom comes in. Apparen...

Re: Political Posts

But do we really have a "free market?" Can it be a "free market" if CEOs earn so much, and people are only hired on family connection bases? We as a society as enslaved to our own debt. I think you're confusing what a free market actually is. It has nothing to do with how much a...

Re: Political Posts

I really don't understand why Americans feel that socialism is a four-letter word, except that I do and it's because of propaganda and the push on the part of the rich for capitalism to remain the flavor of the day. Capitalism is the idea that instead of a country's industry being controlled by its ...

Re: Of boys and bullets

I would argue that the future of any of the Thenardier children is based on the economic position of their parents at any given time. Gavroche is pretty much cut loose from the family, but for Éponine and Azelma it looks like where mom and dad go, they go. (Probably because (questionably) attractive...
