Re: Waterloo

I will check that out eventually...at the moment I still have about 800 pages left of The Brick to read, so it won't be right away...

Thanks for the enlightenment.

Re: Hey

Thanks, Rose!

I'll add a bit more about myself now...I work at a winery, which might explain why when I saw your name, I read it as Rosé instead of Rose...

Re: Hey

I am from Canada, southern Ontario (right across the border from Buffalo, NY). My son also tries to babble along, it's very cute to see the two of them singing together (my son is almost 2). I try to get them hooked on plenty of things good and early. Some of these have worked (Les Mis, for instance...

Re: Waterloo

Thanks, I figured it was probably embellished with artistic license, but you never know with these things until you dig around...

One problem with those reenactors: they are clearly enjoying themselves way too much for it to be an actual battle. Wish I could have been there enjoying myself too...

Re: Les Mis London, 2003

Thanks, that was a big help. It looks like the most likely candidates are Hans Peter Janssens or Mike Sterling. It also looks like I possibly had the privilege of seeing Ramin Karimloo live, as he played Feuilly (oh to go back in time and pay better attention to the minor roles...) I am pretty sure ...

Re: Hey

Thanks for the welcome!

And thank you, my daughter is adorable (when not tantruming...and even sometimes when she is...)

Waterloo

Hello, I am curious as to the accuracy of Victor Hugo's portrayal of the Battle of Waterloo. I have read several summaries of the battle, and as usual his geographical descriptions are spot on, but Hugo goes into a lot of detail about certain things that I haven't been able to track down (such as th...

Re: Metric/Decimal Time

I actually just found out about this through a video explaining that there is a group of people out there who want to change the whole numerical system from base 10 (decimal) to base 12 (dozenal). In the video he mentions the French attempt at decimal time, which I thought was very interesting. Brie...

Hey

Hello, My name is Justin. I am 26 years old, and a huge Les Mis fan. I own the 10th anniversary concert on VHS and DVD, as well as the 25th concert. I have seen Les Mis 3 times live (will be four come September), one of those times I gave up the chance to see Patrick Stewart live in order to see Les...

Les Mis London, 2003

Hello, First a little background: My father took me to England when I was 17 to see the country he grew up in. During the 3 days we spent in London, he took me to see Les Mis (I was already a fanatic at that point...even though Patrick Stewart is my favourite actor, I gave up the chance to see him l...
