Re: The stage door thread

It's around the corner on Locust. (yes, I just looked up the street because they're all named for trees in downtown Philly, so I start getting them confused.) The block is tightly packed, so the stage door is on the side of the theatre rather than the rear. It's well-marked, if I remember rightly (...

Re: The stage door thread

*lurkity lurk* Hi again, y'all! So California Les Misérables seeing never worked out. But Dad's planning on taking me to see Les Mis over in Philadelphia at the Academy Of Music. That is, if I masochistically remind him he still needs to get tickets for it. I was planning on stage door...

Re: Barricade Day 2012

I will forever refer to it as Offing Day, now. Merci for the rather morbid humor. It really wasn't morbid humor {as suicide isn't funny} but I suppose you're welcome! It was the best I could come up with to get across what I was referring to without knowing whether that day already had a name or no...

Re: Barricade Day 2012

Well I survived my first Barricade Days and Offing Night {does that night even really have an official name?}. Still glad I asked off work though and will prolly continue to do that because my emotions were really whacked out those three days. Got the Paris France mojo btw! Thank you!

Re: Musical Movie?

I'm really interested to see what Crowe will be able to do with the role. He's received stick from a lot of people who don't think he can do it well, but they've obviously cast him for a certain reason. I'm interested to see how he does and I really hope that he can do well with Stars. A lot of peo...

Re: What are you reading?

@LesMisPhangirl I read Jane Eyre this year, and I couldn't read it without thinking of Anthony Crivello as Mr. Rochester. In general it was a bit too romantic for my taste, but you might enjoy it. I haven't met him in the book yet but the copy I have is an old illustrated one and he, uhm, he looks ...

Re: Barricade Day 2012

:pat: :pat: I did not wish to make you jealous. But I can think of you - wehn I'm there - send you some Paris-spirit. Aww thanks! I appreciate it! I suppose I'll just wait seven more years and go myself when it's back on the same week days as in the Brick. That's plenty of time to save up, right? :...

Re: Barricade Day 2012

Hi everyone Yes I'm back - sorry for my long absence but I got some personal problems - but they do not belong here... I'll be in Paris form 4. to 7. June. If some(one) of you - who can make it there to - would like to meet up, this would be great. Meg I wouln't be able to make it there, but, if I ...

Re: What are you reading?

I'm reading *snippy* The Phantom of the Opera by Leroux*snippy*. Unless you're rereading Leroux and already know this, let me just quick drop in to say you'll love it! :D Bring tissues though. Ok. Now to what I'm reading. I finally finished Kalpakian's "Cosette"   a ...

Yay! Another Gavroche fan! Isn't he just adorable? I want to adopt him so bad! *stops fangirling like a three year old* Now that we have that out of the way! Welcome!

Re: What are you reading?

Currently I'm reading Cosette {the Kalpakian one}. On an unrelated note, I seem to have lost my mind. If you've seen it, please let me know!

After that? Jane Eyre, because I need to purge my mind somehow.

Re: Barricade Day 2012

This is me brainstorming, but, since it's relevant to this thread, I'll post it here: Assuming my torrent downloads everything in time {you never know with my internet connection...}, I'll probably end up watching Shoujo Cosette again over those three days. {The Javert fangirl in me: *singing* "...

Re: Barricade Day 2012

Sadly, I'll be spending barricade day at medical school. But I'm sure there must be something I can do... :) :) Well it all depends on your school's dress code {if they have one}, but you could probably wear a Les Mis shirt. If that's not allowed, there's always the option of dressing up in all thr...

Re: Barricade Day 2012

Sadly I can't afford to go to Paris, but oh how much I'd love to for Barricade Day/Days {because Paris just loves a random chick sitting on a bench along the you-know-which river crying, with "distraction knitting needles and yarn" wasting space on her lap, at an obscene hour of the mornin...
