Re: The End of Abaissé

Thank you MmeJavert, thank you to all mods and all active users. So many awesome threads and discussions. After Le Cafe and the musicals.net board it's hard to take this loss. I will miss it, but I know I miss a time that's already gone. Let others rise to take our place until the earth is free!

Re: Le Cafe Mu(in)sain

If I ever get it...I fear it got lost on the way-from Frankfurt to me. This would be so shitty! Anyways, my neighbouring town's local museum offers a special exhibition of 19th century French caricatures by Honoré Daumier and Grandville, from the reign of Louis Philippe. The title of the exhibition ...

Re: Le Cafe Mu(in)sain

Ah interesting. Meanwhile one of my new Japanese brochures arrived, the 2003 edition (although I expected the 2005 one). Really lovely item. Sadly my 1997 Japan 10th anniversary brochure is stuck in customs-for more than a month now! Oh, and I couldn't resist and bought the 1998 Toronto brochure. Co...

Re: YouTube links

Matt Kinley talks about the set design for the 2013 Japanese production-the first time the new production was staged there.

Interesting how much was added to fit the stage of the Imperial Theater.

Re: Le Cafe Mu(in)sain

Thanks. I'm currently expanding my collection with Japanese brochures.

Les Mis was performed in Iran last year: http://www.arabnews.com/node/1429656/art-culture

Now that must have been a different experience.

Re: Musical Movie?

I haven't seen it mentioned here before, but I just noticed something. http://www.grant-armstrong.com/wp-content/gallery/les-miserable/les-miserables-movie-screencaps.com-14678.jpg The last one in the row, closest to the door, is clearly Father Mabeuf! You can see his beard and his bare legs. So the...

Re: Le Cafe Mu(in)sain

Yeah that cover was used from 1998 to 2003/4-ish for London, Broadway and the US tours. And most sellers do not care to attach pictures of the publish dates. But 98 and Colm fit for his Toronto stint back then. I spent a good amount of time on ebay finding the correct London 1997 brochure with Hartw...

Spambot "ClydeLox" still has a post up in brick meta which is spam. Other than that I can't identify more.

Re: Le Cafe Mu(in)sain

After watching several reviews on yt I need to try out a Canadian IMP, their entrees look amazing. Especially the shepherd's pie and the smoked meat menus. Havvy if you could hook me up with one I would be very grateful. If possible.

Re: Le Cafe Mu(in)sain

It's not a bad idea to use MREs or other combat rations as a food stockpile. They have compact size, a long shelf life and contain enough food to get you through two days with one ration easily.
