Re: Musical Movie Reviews/Discussion

I loved it. I was more than a little apprehensive about a few aspects of it, namely Russell Crowe and some of the reviews it was getting, but I found Crowe quite acceptable and the movie as a whole just gorgeous. Plus, the live singing made it a thousand time better than it ever would have been othe...

Hey, you're back! I admire your ability to work within that color palette. The shading and candlelit feel is really exquisitely done. Bravo!

Re: 2012 Toronto Production

Unfortunately the Bieber thing is not a joke. It's all over the place. HOWEVER, as far as I know he hasn't accepted or turned down the part yet. And...well, I guess there's a small chance he'll turn out to have more classical ability than we think.

...maybe. :(

Hrm. The age thing is a little odd. I wonder where they're going with that?

Re: Things you're ashamed to admit you own

Yes they were. I have to admit that I was quite fond of them myself when I was about 13. Kind of a guilty pleasure though...I knew they didn't count as literature. Haha.

Re: Things you're ashamed to admit you own

I am not at all ashamed to say that I own a plush tribble that vibrates and purrs. I am, however, ashamed to say that I still own a stack of those distressingly bad "Warriors" books from many years ago. I cringe every time I see them peeking out of my bookshelf. I have got to clean that bo...

Oh, wow. How neat. Scrounging all the information I can get about the "real" Amis is one of my favorite nerdy-fannish-research pastimes. What a find!

Re: Small colour works - "The People"

This...this is absolutely stunning. And while your points make sense, I like him portrayed as a woman here. After all, he is so much more than a man. He's the spirit of rebellion and freedom. And I love the idea of this spirit surfacing in someone very different than his original embodiment...this p...

Re: Anatomy Lab (10 June '11)

I have always lurked on your art forum and never posted here, because I keep realizing that if I did, I'd comment on everything you've ever drawn and submit such a long post that the servers would crash. But I really gotta say it: I love everything you've ever drawn. Ever. And I plan on gushing over...

Re: Painful Les Misérables Pronunciations

I have to admit that any attempt I might make at proper French pronunciation is hilarious/painful/sad, but I always make a strong effort to at least get stresses right. Actually, when I first read the Brick I drove my French-speaking friends nuts by asking them how to pronounce all sorts of things (...

Re: Upcoming US Tour

SO GLAD IT'S COMING TO THE KENNEDY CENTER. I was terribly disturbed when I didn't see it on the original tour list. Eeeee~ Anyhoo, I'm going on the 6th and 27th of October. Will I see anyone there?
