Re: Le Cafe Mu(in)sain

Still don't know dates and times but apparently Derek Jacobi and Diana "Queen of Thorns" Rigg are going to be in it!

Re: Political Posts

I'm feeling really smug about how much of a mess Theresa May is making of Brexit right now. Wish they'd hurry up and no confidence the government so the glorious reign of Jeremy the Kind can commence already.

Re: Le Cafe Mu(in)sain

IMO the best thing about having your own place at Christmas is being able to start your own Christmas traditions that are way more fun. Like, we have now instituted Christmas Eve movie day, where we get supermarket party food and watch Christmas movies, always including Muppet Christmas Carol. And m...

Re: Le Cafe Mu(in)sain

Wore my (Star Wars) Christmas jumper to work today, opened my (cheese) advent calendar, started decorating my tree and living room (four sets of fairy lights already and I'm still considering nipping to the store tomorrow for more). Saw a fun game on Facebook where you have to try and go between 1st...

Re: Le Cafe Mu(in)sain

PRC lyrics > OFC for me.
I actually had kids in my room lately going "Miss! Tell our friend the French (PRC) lyrics for the finale! They're so emotional OMGosh!"
(Yes, I am brainwashing children into fandom, non je ne regrette rien!)

Re: Le Cafe Mu(in)sain

I have the video file for the DVD of our production  (it's so good quality too! ) Going to wait until the cast have their copies before I livestream it, but yep that is happening. That is very good news! I'm really excited about seeing it :D I will need to manage expectations, but ye...

Re: Le Cafe Mu(in)sain

It's finished now, but West Lothian. Video filmed on the last night, though I was pretty disappointed with the last night tbh so am feeling a bit regretful I wasn't organised enough to get a boot of the previous nights (Phan also very kindly took an audio of the last night which will tide me over ti...

Re: Le Cafe Mu(in)sain

Argh, do want! Well, we had our opening night last night and...things are going surprisingly smoothly! Valjean for some reason faffed around with the candlesticks at the end of the prologue, then put them smoothly back on the Bishop's table and ran away so...not sure what was actually going on there...

Re: Le Cafe Mu(in)sain

I don't have files for them yet - the ones on our media server were only up until the day before those were taken, and I forgot to even check the server yesterday - but was just seeing them on the camera window. Will certainly get them, and we have managed to agree to have our last night filmed too!...

Re: Political Posts

Even studying a "sensible" degree is no guarantee. I graduated with a first in Drama during a recession and have a graduate job in my subject, but my bf did the sensible job in a huge, successful, big-money field....and is about to lose his unrelated, no qualifications required temp job. I...

Re: Political Posts

Socialism is like the friendly stepping stone between the two. The thing that so many people forget is that even Marx and Engels didn't see communism as an immediate thing. They always said you need to go through a socialist state before you get to communism. That's why I identify as a socialist (a...

Re: Best and worst of the Schools Edition

Loving the pictures! Marius' costume is weirding me out a bit though. It looks to me like Kylo Ren cosplaying as Javert. Slightly weirded out because their Fantine could pass for twins with one of our makeup team! The photo of Valjean and babySette is adorable!

Re: Le Cafe Mu(in)sain

I'm getting weirdly emosh about Fantine & Cosette stuff atm :(. Got all misty-eyed over one of our rehearsal photos the other night of the two in the Finale
