Re: The Rant thread

My phone isn't holding a charge, and I just got it. I'm going to try leaving it on the charger all night and hopefully it'll be okay, but I'm thinking about bringing it back to the store (since I have it under warranty).

Re: The Good Karma Thread

Yeah, I used to have depression. Not sure if it was clinical or not, but from where I was several years ago to where I am now is much better.

Anyway, I went apple picking today! And went on another interview.

Re: The Rant thread

^ That, and "We'll call you" or "We're not hiring but we're accepting applications" are the most dreaded sentences to my ears. While nothing incredibly horrible has happened to me in the past weeks, I am irritated sometimes by the lack of care I see in others. For instance, I fou...

Re: The Good Karma Thread

I don't know how you do it, Col., but you always find the most extravagant vintage pieces! It's a special skill indeed. :D A few good things to share: I'm going to see Amanda Palmer as the Emcee in Cabaret (on the very last performance!) I interviewed at Lush (still awaiting reply, overall the inter...

Re: The Away Thread

Hello, it's been quite some time since I've been here. I want to apologize for not always being so pleasant when I was here before - I was going through some rough patches in June and beforehand with stress and finances ... anyway, I've been going to therapy and working at a new job, which I like ve...

Re: The Rant thread

There's a kid I have to stand next to in one of the numbers I'm in, and he sings way too loud. To the point of which I can't get my notes just right because he's singing way off. It's really, really annoying. And it's not the first time it's happened. Worse yet, he'll start to sing the other group'...

Les Misérables at Papermill Playhouse

I've been away for a while, and am back with some news. (Perhaps some of you already know about it, though, so it wouldn't actually be news but I figure it's still worth sharing).

I'm pretty excited about this, actually.

Re: The Good Karma Thread

I was cast as Anybodys in a production of West Side Story.

The best thing is that most of the cast I've previously worked with before, and the director is pretty awesome. So hopefully, it'll turn out to be a great production. I'm a little worried, though, we only have six weeks of rehearsal.

Re: The Away Thread

I'm offski from tomorrow morning (at about 4.00 am) to New Zealand for the Art Deco festival - back on Monday. Will think of you all when I'm quaffing the champagne! http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g44/PelagicWobbegong/Napier2008/Feather.jpg You're one of my favorite people in the world, do you k...

Re: The Good Karma Thread

Books! I have books! My box-set of Le Père Goriot, Illusions Perdues, and Splendeurs et misères des courtisanes arrived right before winter break, and my monster edition of Vidocq (unabridged memoirs + Les Voleurs) was waiting for me when I got back. And I have a $150 Amazon gift card. Other good k...

I dislike it when people try to fake like they're having a good time. Listen, if you aren't happy then don't waste my time and I won't waste yours. I can appreciate that my boyfriend wanted to go with me for the book signing so I wouldn't be by myself. But he actually ruined it a bit for me because ...

I met Tim Burton, briefly, but when I told him that I was playing Sally in a stage adaptation of Nightmare Before Christmas, he smiled and said "Well that sounds great. Good luck with it!"

Work and daily life made me a stressed and rather irritable person, so I needed a break. But I'm back, not sure for how long.

That's quite a lovely shade of red. Kind of reminds me of Sally from The Nightmare Before Christmas. (I mean that in a good way, obviously). I just went on a photoshoot for one of my friends, and we did a Tim Burton theme. I got to pose in a graveyard and in the lobby of an old theatre. Sadly I don'...
