Re: Montparasse/Éponine "Gamin Kisses" PG/ PG-13, 191x240

Oh geez, I hope not. I just assume it's shadow. (The one thing that does really annoy me about the picture is the weird shape of his hat...)

Re: The Good Karma Thread

I just found out that the requirements for my final essay are to write a bunch of pages about the historical context of a painting done by a lady painter. And it can be any lady painter that we've studied. And it can be any of their paintings.

HELLO Vigée-Lebrun! I am SO STOKED.

Okay, I'm slightly more coherent and still can't make words form as I gaze at this picture. It's incredible. All I can think is, "Shut up, Éponine, he's gonna be mofo hot as soon as he gets his coat on." This is where I got the image from my user icon: http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y102...

Re: Montparasse/Éponine "Gamin Kisses" PG/ PG-13, 191x240

THIS HAS BROKEN MY BRAIN.
Yes, I know I said I was going to bed, but I didn't, and now I'm incoherent because this is really bizarrely hot and terrifying but mostly hot... remind me to make more sense in the morning.

Ooh. I love how he's all streamy in the wind. Super Enjolraic, especially being in front of a flag!

There's something really cool about the overall shape of that doodle... especially the cravat. Cravats are hot. And I love the way you draw hair! It makes me want to ruffle it!

Re: Montparasse/Courfeyrac sketch card, PG/ PG-13, 240x171

You know, in Paris elvenmongoose, misatheredpanda, and I devised a scenario wherein Montparnasse woke up one morning with a terrible hangover in bed with Grantaire. And then Grantaire pledged his love to Montparnasse and Montparnasse was terribly annoyed by him (and couldn't kill him for... some rea...

Re: writing Patron-Minette?

They probably each represent a different kind of criminal or something. I mean, you know Hugo. You've got the big, brutish, stupid kind (Gueulemer, of course); the devious, intelligent, heartless kind (Babet); the mysterious, unknowable kind (Claquesous); and... the pretty one...

Re: Montparasse/Courfeyrac sketch card, PG/ PG-13, 240x171

hee hee, well, I am sure Monty gets his revenge somehow.. considering that Courfeyrac woke Monty up this morning at stupid o'clock to Mariah Carrie's Emotion.... WHAT? I have no idea what's going on, but I am IN LOVE with it! The expression on Montparnasse's face is just too hilarious. And Courfeyr...

Haha, yes. If I can scrape enough money together and if my visa nonsense is done I want to come see the show when both versions are in London for the anniversary. And I'll definitely be open-minded. How different is London from either version that's been on Broadway, though?

(I LOVED it. If I could pick between seeing the tour again and seeing the normal production, I'd pick the tour. But I keep saying that...)

I wish Laurel/misatheredpanda/Wertherfieber was on this forum right now. When we were in France, she found and bought an abridged copy that was hardly over a hundred pages! It blew all our minds.

Re: Les Misérables AU...Wildly AU....

YOU DRAW SUCH A SEXY MONTPARNASSE IT DISTRACTS ME. Also, it's been a long time since I actually lol'd at fanart, but the combination of Grantaire's speech bubble, Marius's face, and Enjolras with a mustache pretty much did me in. And you're right, Enjolras's pants are miiighty distracting in the sec...

Re: I don't know what Abaissé means

Welcome to the group! I gotta say, guys are a little under-represented here, so it's really cool to have you join us! I hope you get a chance to read the Book soon. It's pretty awesome. But we all love the musical too--to varying degrees. Glad something good came out of that volcano nonsense!
